Before becoming a little code witch, I was a teacher in a low-income school. My students received 100% free breakfast and lunch, our building smelled faintly of mildew, and resources were limited. We finally hired a technology teacher, but that position only lasted for a year due to budget constraints. As an adult, my surroundings were often disheartening. The staff, the teachers, and most importantly, the students, deserved more.
The code witch, now well-versed in JavaScript closures, turned to a blank page in her spellbook. As she pondered the topic for her next entry, the little code witch recalled her technical interview.
Today’s post is going to be a bit different. I could tell you I designed a new, amazing app, but that would be a bald-faced lie. I actually have not done much coding in the past few days. Instead, my focus has been on creating a structure for my day now that I’m an official Flatiron School graduate.
